Driving A Lamborghini On The F1 Track With Ultimate Drive Singapore

Our schedule in Singapore was packed every day so we tried to maintain a balance of culturally educational activities and some activities that were just plain fun. Ultimate Drive fits in the latter category: Pure. Unadulterated. Fun.

Several weeks ago, when we were first planning our visit to Singapore, I was having the adrenaline itch again. It had been too long since my last spine tingling adventure and I was feeling the need to attach myself to something with a greater velocity than our scooter. I searched for a sky diving operator in Singapore, but after learning that skydiving is not allowed followed by a brief moment of despair, my search led me to an even better adrenaline-inducing option: The opportunity to drive a supercar along the F1 race track in Singapore with Ultimate Drive.

Ultimate Drive

On the day of my supercar drive, we fueled up with a wonderful lunch at the Mandarin Oriental and walked across the beautiful pedestrian bridge to Ultimate Drive in Marina Bay Sands. When we arrived, we were welcomed by Arthur, the owner, as he sat us in a club-like seating area and we discussed what my supercar experience would entail.

After a brief safety instruction and a few signatures, I was able to choose which car I wanted to drive. They have two options: a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder and a Ferarri F430 F1 Spider.

The cars rolled up outside and I hopped in the Lamborghini with an instructor riding shotgun, and Evanne rode as a passenger in the Ferrari to get some photos. I started the car, it roared to life, and I was off to enjoy that rocket of a vehicle.

The entire drive was exhilarating. During most of the year, the F1 track transforms back into the streets around downtown Singapore.

There were plenty of opportunities to push the engine as the instructor directed me around the track and through the areas without traffic. Whenever I stopped at a traffic light, tourists would whip out their cameras to snap photos of us and the supercars.

Ultimate drive offers an exciting experience and should be considered if you are looking for adrenaline activities in Singapore

  • This is on my list of things to do! It must have been fun! I’ve been a car person, and it was a sad day when i sold my 1976 Corvette Stingray for our RTW trip.
