PARKROYAL Serviced Suites, Kuala Lumpur

Frequent travelers know that staying in a hotel can get old. Especially when making a foreign city your temporary home, even a luxurious hotel room can just feel cold and cramped. Serviced apartments are one of our favorite ways to get comfortable in a new city and they are a perfect springboard for getting to know the place. PARKROYAL Serviced Suites offers a modern home away from home in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The Rooms

These incredibly well-designed serviced suites make creative use of space with room dividers, compact furniture, pull out bars and sleek lines. There are several layouts for rooms ranging from smaller, but still smartly set up, suites to models with multiple bedrooms, separate offices and dining rooms.

One Bedroom Premier (Living)

We especially love the floor-to-ceiling open closets and built in shelves. Having a place to unpack and get organized is key for anyone living out of a suitcase.

The Grounds

PARKROYAL Serviced Suites are set up for longer stays, but we thoroughly enjoyed our short time there and definitely recommend it if you just need a little more space to unwind. The building is quiet with a comfortable lobby and first floor dining area. There is even a loft style lounge with video games, couches, a pool table and computers where guests can get out of their room, host a casual meeting or even throw a birthday party.

Skypool (day)

There are two pools in the building, one on the roof and one at a lower level. A fitness center and self-service laundry add to the list of amenities on site.

The Food

Given that most apartments have full kitchens, PARKROYAL Serviced Suites offers a pretty impressive hot breakfast buffet with Asian and American favorites. We really appreciated that option since we were there for just one night and did not wish to buy groceries. Guests can grab something on the run or sit and enjoy breakfast while they read the paper.

The Location

The Serviced Suites are not far from the city center and are surrounded with nightlife and dining options. The streets surrounding the hotel are home to countless pubs, Malaysian restaurants, coffee shops and trendy bars. We were spoiled with choice and were incredibly thankful that the staff was so willing to offer tips to help narrow down our options.

Removed a little from the main tourist attractions, the location lends itself to exploring more local favorites like No Black Tie comedy club around the corner or Dining in the Dark. The Serviced Suites have a convenient shuttle that runs to some of Kuala Lumpur’s main attractions, shopping and museums as well.

Two Bedroom Premier (Living)-LowRes

If you’re looking for a place that will make you feel at home in huge Kuala Lumpur, we highly recommend PARKROYAL Serviced Suites. KL is an amazing city with an overwhelming number of cultural attractions, restaurants and entertaining activities. Business travelers bringing their families along will be pleased to come back to a cozy, neat apartment with the option of eating in the room. Their families and other travelers will love the convenient location and the attentive service. Next time we go to KL we hope to have a longer stay and we hope to spend it here!

Quick Tips:

  • Great location! Take advantage of the shuttle to explore the city (but beware rush hour!)
  • The staff are great, be sure to ask for recommendations
  • Take a look at the different room layouts so you can choose which one will be best for you
  • If the provided breakfast doesn’t appeal to you, there are plenty of cafes around, including one just to the right of the entrance to the hotel
