Where We’re Headed: Travel Plans For March 2015
In our disorganized frenzy to pack up our lives again, we realized we neglected to share our travel plans for March with our readers. You may have picked up from our social media accounts that we have a big trip coming up! So, to give you an idea of what we are up against and why it was so hard to pack, here is where we are headed in March.
Two duffel bags, one backpack and a camera bag for five weeks on the road through four countries. We are over-packers through and through so we are pretty proud of ourselves for getting this one right. (No room for souvenirs, though.) We needed clothes and gear for ocean adventures, fancy dinners, motorbike riding, city exploring and countryside visits. Once this part of our journey wraps up and we can assess how prepared we actually are, we’ll share our packing lists with you.
For now, here’s what you can expect to see on the blog during the next month:
Conversations with locals
Killer beach views
Vietnam Feb 27-March 13
We are heading to Hanoi from Bangkok and then cruising around Halong Bay for a couple days. From there we will go down to Hue, Hoi An and then end up in Ho Chi Minh City.
Cambodia March 14-21
Four days in Phnom Penh and four in Siem Reap to explore Angkor Wat and beyond.
Malaysia March 21-26
One night in Penang followed by a drive through the Cameron Highlands and a two night stay. Then we will spend two nights in Kuala Lumpur (with a day trip to Batu Caves).
Indonesia March 26-April 2
Relaxation in Bali and Lombok
